JERRY 1-5 years old, 56 pounds, nervous at first JERRY is a new resident at VBACAC. She was found as a stray and is really nervous in the kennel so far, sitting on her bed at the back of the cage just staring out. She allows some to retrieve her from the cage. She needs time getting to know and trust. Once outside, however, she will approach you, give you a quick sniff and then she might back off. But she will come back as she gets more comfortable. She is a leaner, a lover. She loves attention. Once she knows you, you are golden. Out in playgroup, she trotted around the perimeter of the yard with other dogs trailing behind her. Here and there she would allow them to sniff her although still seemingly a bit nervous. We kept her with easy-going gentle dogs, all vetted and supervised. She stayed on the outskirts of the other dogs playing only venturing inward when one of us would beckon. Yep! She did come when she knew you wanted to see her! And again, she was looking to lean and love. Jerry is medium sized and super super sweet when she is given the time to warm up to you. She seems fine with other dogs so far but we will continue to update her bio when we see more of her personality. Jerry is currently in our medium dog adoption kennel so come on in to meet her! Bring any resident dog in for a meet and greet but please remember we strongly encourage constant supervision. Other Pictures of 179250 Jerry (click to see larger version):
