INDIGO!  Solid boy.  3 years old.

Are you looking for a sweet pup who will happily share a comfy bed and couch with you???  Well, look no further and meet INDIGO! Indigo identifies as a small lap dog but he is actually a big boy (don’t tell him that though!) with a big personality! 

When Indigo shows up, he literally stops traffic.  This boy is a looker!   Between his squatty, low-rider body, his big square head, and his bubbly personality – people just stop, stare, and want to meet him. 

And yet, for some reason, this boy is still with us.  He was originally surrender a year ago when he was not doing well with the special needs child in the home.  We don’t have any specifics and what that really means; Indigo is a big boy and does need to learn boundaries (remember, he thinks of himself as a lap dog!)

Here’s what we see at the shelter – a bouncy and playful boy; a dog who loves treats and will work and train for them; he’s been learning lots of skills – loose leash walking, checking in with his person on walks, sitting and waiting before bolting out a door and for food and toys, learning to not grab and take things gently.  He loves sniffing and he is learning to relax (which is hard for any animal at the shelter).  He friendly, seems to like people, and likes massages!

He’s housetrained but may need to be reminded of this when he gets into a new home with a new routine.  He's not been around other animals, so probably best as an only pup.  Older kids probably best.  He’ll need some time to settle, as all animals do.  But this boy has so much going for him; given a chance and some time to settle, he’ll be a keeper.
