Sometimes dogs in the shelter environment develop strange behaviors or bad habits. While Phil may have demonstrated some of those behaviors in the shelter, they have vanished into thin air in foster. Phil is a short, squatty little guy with a lot of bulldog in him. He is an independent soul who seems to be very happy to just lounge around and sniff. He is a bit of a jumping bean when he first comes out of the crate but settles down in a short while. He has a quirky little personality with no observable bad habits. No chewing, shredding toys, or accidents in the house. He has just recently discovered that he likes affection. He has made good friends with his canine roommates, as well as the resident dogs and can be trusted not to hurt them. He is just as happy being alone. He has had some type of experience with food insecurity in his past and he tends to gobble his food down quickly. He is perfect on the leash and will walk along happily and without incident or be comfortable with his own backyard, as well. He would probably do best with a mature person/couple. His personality, size, and demeanor are just great. He will be your lifelong friend! Other Pictures of 2303-1780 Phil (click to see larger version):
