Kairo -  5 year old neutered male pit mix, 63 pounds, house trained, not good with dogs, not good with cats, no small children, but loves people, very sweet & loving.

Kairo recently spent a couple of months with a foster family. Here’s what they said about him:  “ He is such a cuddly, curious boy that loves his people unconditionally. He is a couch potato and will do anything for food. He also loves going for walks where he can sniff all the different new smells and likes to go for car rides. Like every pet, he has some silly little quirks like hating the vacuum, and preferring to sleep completely covered by blankets… He loves people and will give you all the kisses if you let him. We have enjoyed having this handsome boy around and hope he finds his forever home soon!! He needs to be the only pet in the home and would do best with older kiddos.”

Kairo is a real sweet boy who is having trouble finding his forever home. He was first surrendered to the shelter when he was only 18 months old. He has been adopted and returned a few times for no fault of his own, other than perhaps not being a fan of other dogs. The last time he was adopted, he was found shortly afterward running free on a highway! Miraculously, he eventually ended up back in our shelter. Now he’s 5 years old. I know his people are out there somewhere. People who will love him and take care of him. Kairo LOVES people! He walks well on a leash and doesn’t pull. He loves to run and play. He’s pretty close to being a perfect dog, and he really needs to find somewhere to lay his head. He’s already been at the shelter nearly a year this time around.
